OBJECTIVE

To create a large unitary space on two levels, inclusive, easily accessible and with natural light and ventilation, formed by a structure of rigid concrete frames arranged in such a way as to allow a clear and logical order of its activities.

CONTEXT

Pilares La Pulga is an educational and cultural center located in downtown Mexico City. It is a structure surrounded by a tree-lined plaza and a park, which offers free workshops and trades for young people and adults who live around the building.

PERFORMANCE

Today, La Pulga is a space that has created a community where people come every day to participate in different free cultural activities offered by the government, as well as to spend time in the park as a green space to rest or study.
