OBJECTIVE

Plaza Building is responsible for consolidating the Civic Square. It is presented as a public pavilion that concentrates the administrative area of Puertos together with a group of offices and professional studios capable of responding to the demands of a community in formation.

CONTEXT

The first block of the Civic Center of Puertos seeks to anticipate a model of pedestrian city and permanent programmatic pulse based on a new balance between density and landscape. It will be the first piece of a twelve-hectare territorial essay that seeks to present itself as an alternative model to inhabit the periphery.

PERFORMANCE

A set of rooms of variable dimensions, flexible and ventilated on both sides, is surrounded by four landscaped rings that define the exterior presence of the building while organizing its circulation and the expansions of each unit. The ground floor builds an alcove that completes the commercial offer of the Civic Square, which is connected to the interior of the block by means of a pedestrian walkway that pierces the ground floor of the pavilion.
